Oregon Coast Aviation bring to Florence Municipal Airport over forty years of experience in the avation field. Gary Rose's aviation career began in 1959 with the US Air Force. Following positions with Aero Commander Inc, Beagle's Aircraft Service Co and Ozark Airlines, Gary and his wife Joyce formed Rose Air Inc at the South Rayleigh Airport in North Carolina. Gary and Joyce developed, owned and operated an FBO that included a full service maintenance facility, as well as providing aircraft for flight instruction and rental. Gary holds a Commercial Pilots License with over 4,000 hours flight experience, as well as an FAA Mechanics License.

Gary and Joyce took over the day-to-day running of Florence Municipal Airport in November 2009, their goal to make Florence Municipal Airport a facility which will be viewed as an asset to the whole central Oregon Coast.
